It is commercially compostable, certified to Australian Standard AS4736-2006, meaning it can be processed in industrial composting facilities. While it is not home compostable or recyclable, it meets multiple Australian packaging regulations in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory and offers a responsible, lower-impact alternative to conventional plastic lids.
